Latest Developments

MASHnet was established in 2005. It is a network with the expressed aim to improve the application of modelling and simulation techniques within healthcare decision making.

The use of simulation and modelling in the planning and management of healthcare services has provided major benefits. But success has been restricted by lack of co-ordination and constraints in sharing of information between key individuals and organisations despite the growing interest and numbers of researchers involved.

MASHnet recognises the need to establish a stronger basis of communication between the three identifiable sectors of; healthcare, research, and industry. Much is still to be achieved from improved interchange of information both within and between these separate domains of activity. The strong interdisciplinary and inter-organisational nature of healthcare simulation and modelling makes these relationships crucial for the successful research, development and implementation of systems to support the delivery of healthcare services. MASHnet aims to build on the current disparate alliances that exist with healthcare modelling to create a co-ordinated structure for communication and advancement in this area.

WEBSITE RE-DESIGN

As part of the recent invigoration of MASHnet we are currently re-developing this website using a Content Management System to create a more dynamic and interactive site.

We expect to have the new site on-line early in 2010 (early March). So please come and visit us again then.

In the meantime if you have any feedback and suggestions for the new website then please email us at:
